Sloka 37

338. a-sokah / The dispeller of sorrows.
அசோக: – சோகம், மோஹம், ஜரை, ம்ருத்யு, க்ஷுத், பிபாஸை என்னும் சோகம், மோகம், மூப்பு, சாவு, பசி, தாகம், என்ற ஆறு ஊர்மிகள் (அலைகள்) ஸம்ஸார சாகரத்தின் வேகங்களாய் ஜீவர்களை நலியும் குற்றங்கள் ஆகின்றன. இந்த ஆறுக்கும் உபலக்ஷணமாகச் சொல்வது சோகம். இந்த ஆறும் இல்லாதவன் மட்டுமன்று, தம்மை அண்டியவர்களுக்கு இவை இல்லாமல் ஆக்குபவர் என்பதால் அசோக:


339.  taranah / He who takes others to the other shore (a boat)
தாரண: – ஸம்ஸார சாகரத்தைத் தாண்டுவதற்கு உதவும் பெருநல் உதவியாக இருப்பவர்.

340. tarah / The Savior
தார: – பவக்கடலினின்றும் சரணடைந்தவர்களை பயமில்லாமல் அக்கரையாகிய மோக்ஷத்திற்குக் கடத்துபவர்.

341. surah / The Valiant.
சூர: – எத்தகைய இடர்ப்பாட்டிலும் தாமே மீட்பவர்.

342. saurih / a) The son of valiant people like vasudeva, dasaratha, etc. b) The grandson of Sura, the name of Vasudeva’s father. c) The descendant of the group of people called Suras in the Yadava race.
சௌரி: – பக்தர்களை இடர்ப்பாட்டினின்றும் மீட்பதற்காகத் தாமே அவர்களை நாடிச் செல்பவர்.

343. janesvarah / The Lord of the people.
ஜநேச்வர: – உயிர்கள் அனைத்தையும் வியாபிக்கும் சீலத்தால் ஜநேச்வரர்.


344. anukulah / One who is within bounds.
அனுகூல: – அனைத்துப் பொருட்களிலும் தாமே உள்ளே ஆத்மாவாக இருப்பதால் அனுகூலமாக இருப்பவர்.

345. satavartah / a) He who has several incarnations to sustain dharma, b) He whose wealth is bubbling but not overflowing (like vortices), c) He who maintains and manages several cycles – the cycle of samsara for all the beings, the chakras of grahas, nakshatra-s etc.
சதாவர்த்த: – வீழ்ச்சிக்குப் பல சுழல்கள் உடைய பவக்கடல் போல் அன்றிக்கே தம்மிடம் பக்தியால் அகப்பட்டவர்கள் தாமே கருதினாலும் மீள முடியாத அளவிற்கு வாழ்ச்சிக்கு ஆன சுழல்கள் அளவிறந்து உடையவர்.

346. padmi / He who carries the lotus in His hand.
பத்மீ : தாமரையை ஏந்தியவர்.

347. padma-nibhekshanah / One who has eyes which resemble the lotus.
பத்மநிபேக்ஷண: தாமரையின்  மலர்ச்சி போல் குளிர்ச்சி தரும் பார்வை கொண்டவர்.
